Do I need to take the GRE, GMAT, or other standardized tests?
Yes, you are expected to take the GRE general section;
GMAT scores are acceptable if taken prior to application.
The Admissions Committee will look at your entire
background – your undergraduate work, your work
experience and success, your references and your reasons
for pursuing the program. The Committee is looking for
evidence of your ability to succeed in the program. At the
sole discretion of the Admissions Committee, other evidence
may be considered, in lieu of GRE, that constitutes strong
evidence of ability to successfully perform graduate work.
When can I begin the program?
There are two start dates each year – Fall and Spring.

When I graduate, how will my diploma read?
Your diploma will read "Master of Information and
Telecommunication Systems." Although the program
utilizes an online learning format, your diploma will not say
How much does the program cost?
In addition to tuition of $625 per credit hour (Ohio
residents; non-residents $644 per cred hour), there is a
$50 application fee, an Info System and Network fee (billed
each semester with tuition), and the cost of books. Tuition
and fees are assessed based on the number of credit hours
of enrollment, Ohio residency and program. Ohio University
reserves the right to make, without prior notice, any fee
adjustments that may become necessary. For more

Does Ohio University accept financial aid?
U.S. citizens and permanent residents have access to
federally funded loans through Ohio University’s Office of
Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (OSFAS). For further

Do I have to log in at a specific time?
Yes, ITS classes are held at 6 to 9 p.m. Eastern time. You
will be expected to be available online during that time the
day(s) on which you have class.
How many credits and courses do I take each term?
Completion of the program requires nine 4-credit courses.
The minimum completion time for the remote attendance
program is about 20 months or five semesters: four
semesters with two courses per semester and one summer
term with one course. However, this is not a mandatory
schedule; you can complete the program in three years by
taking just one course per semester.
Are campus visits required?
All the coursework for the Master of Information and
Telecommunication Systems program is accessible via
technology. No campus visits are required. Graduates are
welcomed and encouraged to participate in commencement
ceremonies, which are held in May of each year.
Can I transfer previously completed graduate credits to this program?
Up to 2 of the 9 courses required can be graduate credit
hours transferred from other academic institutions. The
graduate committee must approve the application of
transfer credit hours towards this program’s course
