WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT
Now that you've applied to the Academic Outreach Initiative RN-to-BSN program, no doubt you are anxious to get started! Following are answers to a few of the most frequent questions we receive.
When will I be admitted?
It will take 5-6 weeks after you apply to complete the process--refer to the timeline at the bottom of this page to see what happens during that time. After completing the process you will receive a course map that shows exactly which courses you need to take, along with instructions on how to register for classes.
Is there anything I can do to speed things along?
The most important thing you can do to assure your application processing isn't delayed is to promptly request official transcripts of all education work you've completed since finishing high school. That includes colleges, schools of nursing, etc. Ohio University cannot request or obtain these for you. The transcripts must come directly from the institution issuing them or be in a sealed envelope from the institution to be considered official. If you've already requested transcripts from every institution you attended you're off to a great start!
Also, if any of your transcripts may be issued in a different name than the one on your application, make sure we know the previous name (for example, your maiden name or a former married name). If you didn't include that information on your application, send a note to RNtoBSN@ohio.edu and list both your current name (the name on your application) and the name that will be on transcripts.
How will I know what's happening in the process?

We will communicate with you by e-mail throughout the process.
